While everyone is crazy worried about the Thanksgiving menu, here I am as always debating what to wear at the dinner table this year.
Another day of the year, where I can use the excuse of shopping for a special look, because Thanksgiving in my mind ties to a color palette specific to the season including select styles and silhouettes.
For example, I think Thanksgiving and I look at mustard yellows, burnt orange, chocolate browns, deep greens and purples, all colors of fall leaves with a hint of pumpkin spice. In terms of styles and silhouettes I like to think of a mixture between fashion and comfort, keeping in mind we eat quite a bit this day. Although my mentality is “beauty over all- including discomfort.” Just kidding, that’s another plus to this industry, there is always a way to mix trends with comfort, all while being stylish.
Here are a few styles I suggest to you today:
Sweater Dress paired with some knee-high boots
Printed or solid paper bag pants with a flowy top, strappy sandals
Leather skirt with a printed tee and cute sneakers
Printed or solid dress with flats or pumps
High waisted jeggings with a bodysuit paired with some mules
Although it's 80 degrees here in Miami, I am looking forward to dressing the part and sharing with you guys my day, including menu and table décor.
You guys keep me inspired and motivated. Keeping in mind after we are all stylish and looking cute, this is a holiday to share with family, loved ones and overall be grateful for what we have.
Looking forward to hearing from all of you everything Thanksgiving related,
